A multi-layer white, biaxially oriented polypropylene film is described. The film has at least a three-layered structure and comprises:   a base layer made of polypropylene polymers containing up to 2% by weight of calcium carbonate with an average particle size up to 2.0  mu m and 0 to 25% by weight of titanium dioxide,   an intermediate layer of propylene polymers containing 0 to 25% by weight of titanium dioxide based on the total weight of the intermediate layer,   and an outer layer of sealable raw material. <??>The film according to the invention contains altogether at least 2% by weight of titanium dioxide in the base layer and/or in the intermediate layer.
