PURPOSE: To decompose optical wavelength channels with respect to spectrum and to simultaneously detect them by optically coupling output waveguides to output points and leading wavelength channels outputted from a layered waveguide to photodetectors. CONSTITUTION: Plural inputted different wavelength channels are led to a diffraction grating 3 in a layered waveguide 2 and are spatially separated from one another by dispersive diffraction to different directions. Dispersively diffracted wavelength channels are led to plural output points P1 to Pn , which are spatially separated from one another, on an edge 21 in the layered waveguide 2 and are outputted to the layered waveguide 2. Output waveguides a1 to an constituted in a form of a band-shaped optical waveguide built on a substrate 1 are optically coupled to output points P1 to Pn .
