PURPOSE:To provide an automobile control device computing target acceleration and deceleration in accordance with the driver's will, and controlling engine torque, speed change ratio, and brake pressure so as to conform the target acceleration/deceleration to actual acceleration/deceleration. CONSTITUTION:A target acceleration/deceleration computing and comparing means 6 to computer target acceleration/deceleration from accelerator operation opening and brake stepping force is provided, the speed change ratio of an automatic transmission 10, the throttle opening, the fuel supply quantity, or the ignition timing of an engine 11, and the brake device 12 of an automobile are controlled so as to conform the computed target acceleration/deceleration to actual acceleration/deceleration. Because acceleration/deceleration in accordance with the driver's will can be obtained, operability is improved, and because the shift position of neutral is frequently used fuel consumption is improved. |
