PURPOSE:To provide a data separating circuit which can eliminate the malfunction of a phase comparator caused when a selector switches the input signal of the phase comparator and can assure the stable lock time. CONSTITUTION:A sync field detecting circuit 10 immediately generates a sync field detection signal after detecting a sync field. Then the circuit 10 instructs a selector 5 to select the read data and a PLL circuit to start the lock of the read data. A phase comparator 11 compares the output phases with each other between a voltage control oscillator 7 and the selector 5. The comparator 11 discontinues the first following phase comparing operation when the sync field detection signal is inputted. If the sync field detection signal is inputted in the midst of a phase comparing operations, the comparator 11 instantaneously interrupts its phase comparing operation and prepares for the phase comparing operation of the next input signal. |
