<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate creation of an enlarged cut out print pattern by heating each heating element in a thermal recording head upto a temperature where reactive ingredients of thermal recording paper evaporate. CONSTITUTION:When heating elements 1 in a thermal head are heated upto a temperature where reactive ingredients of thermal recording paper evaporate, temperature distribution around the heating element 1 becomes chevronwise where a coloring temperature region (a: threshold Ha) exists around a vaporization temperature region (b: threshold Hb) which is heated upto the temperature for evaporating the reactive ingredients of the recording paper. When dot printing is made on the surface of the recording paper 1 by means of the heating elements 1, the reactive ingredients evaporate from the part corresponding to the heating element 1 thus cutting out the recording paper whereas the reactive ingredients blacken in the coloring temperature region surrounding the cut out part. Consequently, a doughnut type print pattern 3 having central cut out 3a can be formed.</p> |
