PURPOSE:To reduce select shock, by carrying out a feed-back control of the operating hydraulic pressure of a starting frictional element in such a way that upon change-over into a running range the hydraulic pressure is increased at a desired rate which is required to prevent select shock. CONSTITUTION:Outputs from a hydraulic pressure detecting means (g) for detecting the hydraulic pressure of a starting frictional element (d) and a pressure increasing rate setting means (h) for setting a desired rate of pressure increase required to prevent select shock of hydraulic pressure, are delivered to a pressure regulating means (i) to carry out the feed-back control of hydraulic pressure. With this arrangement, the hydraulic pressure may be always raised at a desired rate without being affected by manufacturing errors of an automatic speed reduction gear (e), the temperature of hydraulic oil and variations in the drive voltage of the pressure regulating means, thereby it is possible to reduce select shock. |
