PURPOSE:To fit a silencer for reducing the noise of an air type polishing device used for finishing the rough face of a machined portion after welding. CONSTITUTION:A silencer 5 is fitted to the air blowout port 4 of an air type polishing device. The high-pressure air is discharged through discharge paths changed in sequence via multiple air guide means constituted of the outer container 6 of the silencer 5, the first cylinder 7 and the second cylinder 10 without being directly discharged from the air blowout port 4. The pressure of the air is reduced in sequence through different discharge paths, thus the noise discharged to the outside from the air-type polishing device can be reduced. |
