<p>PURPOSE:To detect exactly the direction of a target and permit the shell splinters of a warhead to be concentrated exactly on the target with the optimum timing with respect to a device mounted particularly in a projectile with the warhead for giving instructions to set off the charge of explosive contained in the warhead when the projectile is approaching the target. CONSTITUTION:By using each of target detecting signals E1-E4 for each quadrant from a target detector 11 and various signals SEL, SAZ, SVM and SVC, a rendevous, engaging angle thetaMT formed with a target 30 passing near a projectile having the subject device mounted therein and a target detecting distance RT are computed and, additionally, a rendevous entry angle Valpha of the target is computed. Based on the information obtained from such computations, a misdistance between the target and the projectile is estimated and corrected to supply the entry quadrant detecting signal of the target.</p> |
