PURPOSE:To automatically perform idle feed of a printing form and to print characters in the center position of the form just by inputting the size of a gift wrapping paper by calculating the feeding amount of the printing form. CONSTITUTION:Character information inputted from an input means 101 is stored in a storage means 102 and converted into a printing image by a conversion means 103. A calculation means 104 calculates the feeding amount of the printing form based on the size of the designated printing form and character size to be used so that the character can be printed at the center part of the printing form, a printing means 105 performs idle printing of the printing form by the amount of the calculated feeding amount and prints the printing image converted by the conversion means 103. Accordingly, the characters can be easily printed at the center part of the printing form just by specifying the size of the printing form. When the printing is to be made on the gift wrapping paper, a leading character is automatically printed in a large size in the case of a happy event and when the characters to be printed consist of four characters, and the characters can be automatically meshed in the case of condolence. |
