发明名称 WIRE CLAMPING MECHANISM
摘要 PURPOSE:To make a wire clamping mechanism possible to clamp a wire with a small power source and to reduce its size and weight by using a magnetostrictive element which can be largely displaced in the longitudinal direction even in a relatively weak magnetic field as a drive source of a clamp movable plate. CONSTITUTION:A wire clamping mechanism is so composed as to operate operating links 15a, 15b at force points 8, 10 in the direction of an arrow with cutout hinges 9, 11 as fulcra when magnetostrictive elements 3 secured to magnetostrictive element securing parts 13, 14 are displaced in the longitudinal direction by conducting a current to a magnetic field generating coil 7 from a power source driver 6, to increase the displacement of the element 3 and to operate a clamp movable plate 1 in an opening direction. Accordingly, even if a conducting current is small, a strong magnetic field can be generated. Accordingly, the displacement necessary for a wire clamping mechanism can be sufficiently obtained by using a power source used for a driving circuit, etc., of a motor in a normal apparatus.
