An electric heating element is used for heating a handle of a hand tool such as a motor saw, said handle comprising a handle tube (19) and a sleeve (21) of elastomer mounted thereon. In order to avoid dlversion of heat by the handle tube, the heating element comprises an elongated metal body (11) provided with electric resistance conductors and inserted into an elongated cavity (21) provided in the sleeve and extending in parallel with the handle tube. |
