PURPOSE:To shorten time from an ignition of carbonic solid fuel to a formation of flame in a combustion device for igniting the carbonic solid fuel. CONSTITUTION:An outer frame 1 of a combustion device is provided with a fuel gas supplying port 2 for supplying fuel gas and a combustion air supplying means 3. Mixture gas of fuel gas and combustion air is fed to a carbonic solid fuel 8 having many through-pass holes 9 and then the mixture gas is flowed out of the through-pass holes 9. The flowed-out mixture fuel gas is ignited with an ignition means 7, the carbonic solid fuel 8 is ignited with its combustion flame. After the flame is formed, an opening or closing valve 4 is closed and a supplying of fuel gas is stopped. With such an arrangement as above, it is possible to shorten time starting from the ignition to the carbonic solid fuel 8 to the formation of the flame. |
