PURPOSE:To remove the misrecognition of a message as a different message or a continued message and to improve operation convenience by a user by accurately informing the delimitation of messages an surely transmitting the contents of each message. CONSTITUTION:A selective call signal from a base station which is not shown in the figure is received by a radio circuit 2 through an antenna 1 and transmitted to a demodulator circuit 3 to demodulate the signal and the demodulated signal is applied to a control circuit 40. The circuit 40 reads out the identification (ID) information of its own receiver which has been previously stored in an ID-ROM 5 provided to the circuit 40 and compares ID information included in the selective call signal with that of its own receiver by an information extracting means 41 built in the circuit 40. When the contents of both the information match with each other, the circuit 40 decides the existence of a call to its own receiver and applies a call information signal to a speaker 7 through a driving circuit 6 to generates a calling tone. Thus the circuit 40 is allowed to act as an ID information match detecting means 42 and functioned also as a display control means 43 by correcting an error in a decoded message code and then corrected code is sent to a display driving circuit 8. |
