Process of producing iodic catalyst for carrying hydrogen in cyclic monoterpenes, resinous acids, polyunsaturated fatty acids and their compounds in a form of 20-40% aqueous solution, characterised in that 4 or 5 parts by weight of 30% aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide and 4 to 5 parts by weight of approximately 25% aqueous solution of ammonia are added to 10 parts by weight of 25% to 60% aqueous solution of the ammonium triiodide.
