<p>PURPOSE:To desorb adsorbed materials without passing a regenerating gas such as steam through an adsorbent in desorption. CONSTITUTION:A gas passage is composed of a round bar installed in an adsorption tower 1 paralleling the center axis of the tower at a distance from the axis and a middle cylindrical part partitioned by a wire gauze supported by the round bar. Fibrous activated carbon is placed between the wire gauze and an outer casing 8, and a heat generator 12 is fixed in the fibrous activated carbon to heat it. When the adsorption tower is used for the recovery of harmful gaseous materials such as a solvent, since the fibrous activated carbon is not contacted with steam, the recovery can be performed efficiently with reduced decomposition.</p> |
