This interface connection of a hole (2) in an insulating part (1) which is resistant to high temperature and suitable for vacuum use and which is composed of ceramic, glass or a single crystal comprises a metallic connecting conductor (4, 17) which is inserted into the hole (2) and whose thermal coefficient of expansion is less than that of the insulating part (1). If it is flush with at least one surface of the insulating part, at least one end of the conductor is covered with active brazing solder (5) which brazes it to the insulating part to form a high-vacuum seal, or if the end projects from at least one surface, it is brazed annularly by means of active brazing solder (5') to the insulating part so as to form a high-vacuum seal, since the active brazing solder creeps, in the liquid phase, into the gap between the wall of the hole (2) and the connecting conductor (4, 17) as a result of capillary action. Consequently, the available materials (insulator; metals with a lower thermal coefficient of expansion than the insulating part; active brazing solders) can be used in a different and novel way so that the use of a connecting conductor sheathed in active brazing solder can be dispensed with. <IMAGE> |
