Device for controlling and synchronizing a plurality of traffic lights (F11-F14, F21-F24) for the regulation of the road traffic, comprising a main management unit (A2, A3), as well as for each of said traffic lights (F11-F14, F21-F24) a secondary unit (B11-B14, B21-B24) which supplies power to each traffic light, said secondary unit (B11-B14, B21-B24) being capable of communicating with said management unit (A2, A3) through a data processing link (CB10, CB20) and receiving particularly from said management unit (A2, A3) commands according to which said secondary unit (B11-B14, B21-B24) activates the lamp or lamps of the traffic light (F11-F14, F21-F24) with which it is associated, the device being caracterized in that said secondary units (B11-B14, B21-B24) are each placed respectively at the traffic light (F11-F14, F21-F24) with which they are associated, one traffic light (F11-F14, F21-F24) being connected to the management unit (A2, A3) at least through the above mentioned data processing link (CB10, CB20) between said management unit (A2, A3) and its secondary unit (B11-B14, B21-B24).
