PURPOSE:To realize reduction of the size and the weight of uninterruptible power supply. CONSTITUTION:The uninterruptible power supply is constituted such that a switch 8 is inserted between a commercial power supply 1 and a rectifying circuit 2 feeding DC power to a first inverter 3-1 wherein a battery 6 is charged from the joint of the commercial power supply 1 and the switch 8 through a charger 7. DC power of the battery 6 is inverted through a second inverter into AC power being fed to the rectifying circuit 2 which feeds power to a load 4 at the time of power interruption. According to the invention, number of cell can be decreased, cost and manpower can be reduced, reliability can be enhanced while furthermore the size and the weight of uninterruptible power supply can be reduced. |
