PURPOSE:To prevent the temp. rise in the device right after change over from an image forming state to a standby state by successively lowering the rotating speed of a discharge means stepwise after the image forming state is changed over to the standby state in accordance with the output signal of a time measuring means which measures the lapse time from the prescribed time. CONSTITUTION:The count value of a counting means is reset and whether a printing operation ends or not is checked. The rotating speed of a cooling fan is then lowered down to Na (N1>Na). The count value is then counted from zero and the rotating speed of the cooling fan is lowered down to Nb when the count value attains t2 (Na>Nb). The rotating speed is then lowered down to NC when the count value attains t3 and the rotating speed is lowered down to N2 when the count value attains t4 similarly thereafter. Namely, the temp. rise in the device is prevented by lowering the rotating speed stepwise after the printing state is changed over to the standby state. |
