Feed dog incorporates an upper bobbin case part and bottom bobbin case part. A coreless thread coil can be incorporated in the upper part, which can alternatively contain a bobbin carrying feed dog thread. The upper part features only one thread tensioning element and is equipped with a thread guide hole and a threading hole connected to each other by means of a thread slit. A sloping thread guide slit is provided in a projecting collar of the top bobbin case part.
