A method for eliminating amines used to prepare foundry cores comprises the steps of (A) prefiltration of the air which contains the volatile amines, (B) elimination of the amines by salification with a chemical reagent constituted by an acid solution, (C) concentration of the amine salts in a reaction bath which contains the acid solution, with progressive reduction of the neutralizing power of the reagent down to a selected minimum value, (D) removal and storage of the at least partially exhausted reagent, (E) discharge of the purified air. Immediately after the storage step (D), there is a step (F) of thermal regeneration of the at least partially exhausted reagent in order to recover the acid contained therein, followed by a step (G) of reintroduction and dosage of the acid recovered during the steps of elimination of the amines and of concentration of its salts. |
