PURPOSE:To provide a driving and coupling mechanism for an ultrasonic motor permitting easy assembling to a body to be driven. CONSTITUTION:This is a driving and coupling mechanism for coupling a drive shaft A of a body to be driven L to an output shaft 5 of an ultrasonic motor which outputs the relative movement as a rotating force between an elastic body 2 excited by a piezoelectric body 1 and a frictional body 4 pressured and touched to the elastic body 2. Also, a detecting means 8 for detecting the rotation of the drive shaft A is attached to the drive shaft 5, and release means 12 for releasing the holding force by friction between the elastic body 2 and a friction body 4 during the stop of the ultrasonic motor is provided. |
