PURPOSE:To prevent an increase in control cycle by enabling current sampling only once in a motor control apparatus which converts the detected output of motor current into a digital amount by means of a predetermined decomposition value and switches the gain of a variable gain amplifier on the fore stage of an AD converter. CONSTITUTION:For conversion of the detected output of current of a motor 5 into a digital amount by means of a predetermined resolving power, the gain H1 of a variable gain amplifier 6 on the fore stage of an AD converter is switched according to command value i*. Current of the motor 5 can be sampled only once to stabilize the rotation of the motor 5 by a reduction in control cycle. When a command value is larger than a predetermined value or over a constant time thereafter, the gain of the variable gain amplifier 6 is kept small to prevent commanding to cause a large current to flow despite a real situation that a large current flows. |
