A contact spring set for a relay comprises fixed and movable springs 4, 3, respectively, mounted between a pair of insulating plates 1 by means of projections 5 on the springs engaging slots 20 in the plates, the fixed springs 4 having additional projections 6 at their contactcarrying ends engaging plate slots 2. The moving springs 3 tend to engage their co-operating fixed springs and are operated by a toothed stud 10 supported by springs 7, 8 and controlled by the relay armature (not shown) against the bias of the spring 7. A resilient strip 9 mounted between the plates 1 has a knob 15 whereby the spring set may be mounted on the leg 16 or 17 of the relay core, the leg being received in the space 14 formed between the strips 8, 9 and the knob 15 being received in a depression 18 in the leg. In a modification (not shown) the space 14 is formed above the strip 7.
