The sight-screen cage may be used to cover unsightly fixed plant structures, such as liquid gas tanks (1) or electrical transformers, and comprises two adjoining arched or square cross-section hoods (2, 3) hinged (10) along the lower edge of the hood ends (17, 18) so that they may be swung apart for access. Each hood is formed from a frame (11, 12) covered with a steel mesh grid (14), and features a number of feet (5) that distance the frame from the ground. Climbing plants planted near each end of the frame grow over the steel mesh grid, hiding the gas tank from view, and one of the hoods (3) features a cut-out (21) that allows access to the tank filler (20) without swinging the hoods away from the tank. Pull handles (23) attached to the top of each frame by wires (22) ease the process of swinging the hoods. USE/ADVANTAGE - Swinging hood construction provides effective sightscreen while allowing easy access to enclosed structure.
