COMBINED CONTROL DEVICE FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION AND ENGINE

PURPOSE:To suppress blowup of engine to the minimum even if an accelerator pedal is worked in an underlap condition when power-off clutch-to-clutch speed change is actuated. CONSTITUTION:A timer Tm is activated when it is judged that power-off clutch- to-clutch speed change occurs from the second speed to the third speed at the step 310-340. During the activation of this timer Tm a characteristic map with which engine power is regulated to accelerator opening is set (step 360) and engine power is controlled depending on the corrected characteristics. As a result, it becomes possible to suppress blowup of engine to the minimum even if an acceleration pedal is worked in an underlap condition.
