PURPOSE:To provide an air bag grid fitting structure where an air bag unit will not be easily released by the external force applied from the car room side, and the releasability is excellent when the air bag body is inflated in a constitution where the air bag unit is arranged in an opening of an instrument panel and blocked by an air bag grid. CONSTITUTION:The upper end part of an air bag grid 15 is fixed to the upper opening edge part of an instrument panel 1, and folded pieces 17b, 19b in the front direction are formed on the lower end part of the air bag grid 15. On the other hand, the upper end part is protruded to the section at the position close to the side in the car breadth direction from the lower opening edge part inward the rotation trajectory of the folded piece edge with the upper edge part being the rotational supporting point. The air bag grid 15 is restricted by making engagement with the folded pieces 17b, 19b against the external force applied to the folded pieces 17b, 19b from the bottom in the vertical direction. When the air bag body is inflated, there are provided in a protruded manner a plurality of ribs 23 with protrusions 25 which permit rotation of the air bag grid 15 with the upper end part being the rotational supporting point. |
