PURPOSE:To realize a composition having the high reversible catching capacity of a potassium ion by forming said composition from a specific calix arene compound and a thermoplastic resin. CONSTITUTION:A potassium ion selective composition is formed by compounding 0.1-20 pts.wt. of a calix arene compound represented by formula I [wherein X is -CH2-(-CH2OCH2-)n-CH2-, n is 3 or 4, R is a substituted or non-substituted lower alkyl group or an acyl group and R1 is a 4-18C alkyl group, an aryl group or a cycloalkyl group] with 100 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic resin. Since this composition has the reversible catching capacity of a potassium ion, the coordination and dissociation of an ion are extremely good and the film formed from the composition can be utilized as the electrode film constituting a potassium electrode. |
