<p>A removable cover (10) for mounting over the exterior of a vehicle window (a) is provided. The cover is formed from a flexible sheet material having a central portion (12) sized and shaped to substantially cover the window (W) and at least two integral clamping portions (14) at opposite ends of the central portion (12). The clamping portions (14) are disposed for capture between a door (D) and door frame of the vehicle. The cover also includes a cut-out handhold (32) in each clamping portion. A handle grip body (20) is mounted to each clamping position. Each handle grip body (20)includes a face of sufficiently large dimension to engage the door (1) and door frame so as not to pull through between them when the door is closed. In the portions of the sheet material that transition between the central portion and the clamping portions (14) there are provided windows (16) for visualizing the door frame, and rubber spacers (18). The windows (16) aid in properly placing the cover (10) on the vehicle windows (10) while the rubber spacers (18) prevent the sheet material from rubbing on the door frame as the clamping portions (14) are positioned between the doors (13) and door frames.</p> |
