A screwed connection on a plastic component has a threaded insert; each having an open threaded bore and a hole to fix the insert in; the screwed-in member is fixed into the threaded i.d. of the inserts. The plastic component used has a laminated base of specific thickness with a top laminated cover of generally different thickness and with an intermediate metal plate which has a pattern of uniformly distributed holes; the top face of the plate is fastened to inserts with the threaded i.d., into which the connecting pt. is screwed. Pref. plastic material for use with the system is GRP; the pts. screwed on can be e.g. GRP or metals. ADVANTAGE - The connection is made so firm that the metallic inserts cannot be pulled out of the plastic material.
