PURPOSE: To improve the effective resolution of a color output display device. CONSTITUTION: Color signals or three elements for generation or a color image based on a PEL pattern are so changed that they are displayed or delayed in the horizontal direction, and a single color element of color signals is practically changed for other color elements by a half PEL. Further, a PEL for display of this image is offset in the opposite direction by a half PEL, and the image is brought to the rear of an array, but the PEL site is shifted out of the array in the horizontal direction. Further, the single element can be offset for other elements in the vertical direction also in the same manner. The effect of this color element offset improves the effective resolution of the output display device which eyes sense, and it is improved without so complicating an image generation device. |
