A key telephone system (11) for use as team or executive-secretary system is described which has several user sets (12) which are connected to one another via a bus (30) and at least one user set (12) of which can be connected to an exchange line or to a target branch exchange. The bus (30) forms an internal four-wire switching network between the individual user sets (12). The user sets (12), the basic equipment of which is identical, are provided with a microprocessor (18) and a function circuit (17), which is acted on by the microprocessor and which is suitable and constructed for executing all functions allocated to the user sets (12). So that particular functions can actually be executed, plug-in modules (31, 32) are provided as external and/or internal interfaces for one or a number of the user sets (12). The telecommunication system thus manages without a central device and can be adapted in a simple manner to a large variety of parameters such as type of user set, features of the relevant type of set and the like. <IMAGE> |
