PURPOSE:To faithfully express the parallel structure of an original sentence and to improve the easiness of understanding a translated sentence more easily. CONSTITUTION:A detecting means 34 detects parallel expressions in the original sentence. A discriminating means 37 uses a generation dictionary to discriminate the parallel expressions. Parallel expressions in an objective language corresponding to each structure of parallel expressions are stored in the generation dictionary. A generating means 38 changes parallel expressions in the objective language based on the generation dictionary with respect to each structure of parallel expressions. By this constitution, the parallel structure of the original sentence is reflected on the surface and the parallel structure is faithfully expressed. |
