The jet pipe (25) which forms the material inlet (9) for the sifter opens tangentially into the winder sifter housing and contains a coaxial air inlet nozzle (26) through which the high speed gas jet is introduced into the pipe. The material is supplied into the jet pipe through a conveyor (28). The material mixture is thereby dispersed before entering the actual wind sifter (5) so that any pipe particles clinging together which could be treated as coarse particles are now dispersed. USE/ADVANTAGE - A high degree of separation resulting in less dust or fine materials in the end yield of coarse particles.
