PRODUCTION OF CONNECTING ROD

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve the productivity and to profitably improve forging yield at the time of manufacturing a connecting rod using a rapidly solidified Al-Si series alloy material. CONSTITUTION:Hot extrusion is applied to a billet made of the rapidly solidified Al-Si series alloy powder at 8-12 extrusion ratio so as to become the similar shape to the outer shape as much as possible in the formation of cross sectional face in the extruded material parallel setting plural pieces of the connecting rods. Successively, to the forged raw material obtd. by cutting this extruded material in the right angle direction to the extruding direction, the forging work is applied in the prescribed working degree having at least >=55% at 450-500 deg.C forging temp. to form plural pieces of the connecting rod.
