833,276. Two-part couplings. PICKER XRAY CORPORATION, WAITE MANUFACTURING DIVISION Inc. Nov. 26, 1957 [May 7, 1957], No. 36783/57. Class 38 (1). A plug for a high tension multi-lead cable comprises a hollow cylinder covering the end of a cable having a partial end wall through which the plug pins project, each pin being soldered to a conductor, the space around the cable being filled with an electrically insulating material. The pins 13 are soldered to the conductors 11, if necessary whilst held in a jig, and the cable 10 pushed into the sleeve 15 so that the pins 13 occupy holes in which they are a force fit. The sleeve 15 has a flange 16 to which a ferrule 19 is attached to close the gap between cable and sleeve, the flange 16 having on one side a cork gasket 20 and on the other side a neoprene gasket 21. An epoxy resin is then poured in through the aperture 17 to fill the enclosure. |
