PURPOSE:To obtain an image display device improved in its window value setting efficiency. CONSTITUTION:An operator depresses a part to be observed in an image displayed on a display part 3 with a finger or the like on the surface of a coordinate specification part 4 to specify the part. A position calculating part 6 calculates an image data position corresponding to the specified position on the coordinate specification part 4. A window level setting part 7 finds out the average of image values of a 5X5 pixel around the position found out by the calculating part 6 and sets up a window level. An window width setting part 8 forms the histograms of two lines on image data passing the position calculated by the calculating part 6 and calculates and sets up the window width. An window conversion control part 9 executes window conversion based upon respective found window values and displays an widow-converted image on a display part 3. |
