<p>Methods and compositions for inhibiting the formation of proteinaceous and/or lipid deposits on a contact lens are disclosed. In one embodiment, the present method comprises contacting a contact lens being worn in a mammalian eye with at least one ophthalmically acceptable thiol component in an amount effective to inhibit the formation of at least one of proteinaceous deposits and lipid deposits on the contact lens.</p> |
