PURPOSE:To obtain a molded material which can be used as various kinds of building material containing no asbestos, which is light in weight and has high strength, good heat resistance, good dimensional stability and good molding property and workability althogh it contains no asbestos. CONSTITUTION:This alpha-alumina-added calcium silicate molded body is obtd. by adding alpha-alumina to a calcium silicate molded body and ageing at 150-210 deg.C. The calcium silicate molded body essentially consists of a calcium source material and a silica source material, to which, as necessary, reinforcing fiber and light weight aggregate are added as far as no influenece is given to the molding property and workability. |
