The liquid to be tested is entrained by virtue of a vacuum pump (40) and a source of compressed air (18) from the vessel (12) to the sampling device (24) through a separator (14) which allows the driving air to be extracted. The latter flows through a demister (30) and then a filter (34) before being extracted by the vacuum circuit (38, 40). Dry air is injected via the conduit (54) into the conduit (32) and mixes with the air coming from the demister (30) in order to reduce its moisture content. Application to the sampling of radioactive liquids in the nuclear industry.
