<p>PURPOSE:To perform positive sheet-by-sheet separation by providing a guide claw movable to either a guide position of guiding sheets excluding one outermost sheet out of a conveyed bundle of sheets to a position not conveyed by a second conveyor means and a receding position of not guiding these sheets, and a contact member brought into contact with the sheet so as to move the guide claw. CONSTITUTION:A bundle of sheets Sn conveyed by a first carrier roller pair 35 is fed being shifted sheet by sheet. A separating claw 91A is provided on the upstream side of a second carrier roller pair 37, and a contact member J is fitted to the separating claw 91A by a spring in such a way as to be always in a vertical position. When the preceding outermost sheet comes in contact with the contact member J, the separating claw 91A is rotated with the advance of the sheet, and the tip of the separating claw 91A comes in contact with the outermost sheet. With further conveyance, the outermost sheet is conveyed by the second carrier roller pair 37, and the sheets from the second on are guided into a position not guided by the roller pair 37. At the same time, the carrier roller pair 35 is rotated reversely to return the sheaf of sheets Sn. Sheet- by-sheet conveyance can be thereby performed positively.</p> |
