PURPOSE:To enhance the recording characteristics of the DRAW type optical recording medium by providing a recording layer consisting of a material which is decomposed and heated by absorbing a laser beam and a material which controls the heat generation. CONSTITUTION:This CD is constituted by successively laminating the recording layer 2, a reflection layer 3 and a protective layer 4 on a substrate 1. The layer 2 is formed mainly of the material (A) which is decomposed and heated by absorbing the laser beam and the material (B) which controls the heat generation. Phthalocyanine (e.g.: the compd. of formula) is preferably used for the material A. A radical capturing agent (e.g.: tetramethyl-p-benzoquinone) and a flame-retarding agent (e.g.: bisphenol tetrabromide A), etc., are usable for the material B. The layer 2 can be formed by a vacuum vapor deposition method, spin coating method, etc. |
