PURPOSE: To linearize an output from an amplitude modulation signal device, having specific distortion over a wide frequency range by distributing an input signal into a plurality of paths and processing each path signal. CONSTITUTION: An input source signal 12 is fed to a directional coupler 10 and distributed to a primary path 13 and a secondary path 14. The secondary path 14 is made up of a distortion generator 15, an amplitude-adjustment block 17, a frequency-adjustment block 19 and a phase fine-adjustment block 21. Then the signal of the secondary path 14 passes each of the blocks 15-21, and its output signal 22 has a characteristic distortion whose amplitude is nearly equal to that of the input signal 12 and whose polarity is opposite to that of the input signal 12 and which is independent of frequency. On the other hand, a signal of the primary path 13 is given to an external delay means 23, in which a relative phase of the signal with respect to that of the secondary path signal is adjusted, and the resulting signal is given to a directive output coupler 11, where the signal is re-coupled with the signal 22. |
