PURPOSE:To simplify an input operation required for a character modification processing and to shorten operation time so as to improve input operability by providing a function copying a character modification content in a document generation device. CONSTITUTION:When the instruction of a character modification mode is inputted from a keyboard 2, modification information corresponding to the content of the character modification processing is stored in a character modification buffer 5. An editing control part 1 reads modification information from the character modification buffer 5 as against the designated character string of a character data string store in a character buffer 4 in accordance with the instruction of the character modification mode. Then, the character modification processing based on modification information is executed. When the instruction of a character modification copy mode is inputted, a character modification copy part 7 reads modification information from the character modification buffer 5 and the character modification processing based on modification information is executed for the character string in a copy-designated range. |
