<p>PURPOSE:To enhance water purification performance by maintaining a state in which oxygen exists sufficiently in a microorganism treating tank to establish the environment where aerobic water purifying bacteria are liable to propagate with the water purifying device for household or industrial water to be used for purification of water, such as water for swimming pools, water for water tanks for fancy fishes and water for fish culture. CONSTITUTION:This device is constituted of a water septic tank 2 which contains biofilter media 1, a UV irradiation device 3 which is provided on the downstream side of the water septic tank 2, a water tank 4 which is provided on the downstream side of the UV irradiation device 3, an air feeder 5 which is provided on the upstream side of the water septic tank 2 and sends air, a pump 6 which is provided on the upstream side of the air feeder 5 and forcibly circulates the water in the water tank 4, and force circulation paths 7 connected to the respective devices mentioned above. The air feeder exists upstream of the water septic tank where aerobic microorganisms, i.e., ammonia oxidizing bacteria and nitrite oxidizing bacteria are cultured and, therefore, the oxygen in the air comes into contact with the microorganisms and the ammonia and nitrous acid are efficiently oxidized to nitric acid. There is thus the effect of providing the environment where fishes can easily live.</p> |
