<p>PURPOSE:To omit bonding process, and to detect variation in directional angle without differentiating by using a piezoelectric vibrator polygonal column of regular polygonal cross section and a plurality of band-like electrodes so as to provide polarization process on the piezoelectric vibrator polygonal column. CONSTITUTION:When a piezoelectric ceramic triangular column 10 is rotated with the shaft of an angular column as a rotational shaft, Coriolis force is generated perpendicular to the vibrating direction, and the triangular column 10 is vibrated perpendicular to the direction of a surface including the contour of a band-like electrode 12 and the center shaft of the triangular column 10. A voltage for which the voltage of the same amplitude and the same phase due to the vibration in the direction of the surface including the contour of the electrode 12 and the center shaft of the triangular column 10, and the voltage of the same amplitude and the reverse phase due to the vibration in the direction perpendicular to the former, are synthesized together, is generated on band-like electrodes 14, 15. Since the electrodes 14, 15 are connected to the input terminal of a differential amplifier 20, the output of the amplifier 20 follows the vibrational component generated by Coriolis force, and is of the voltage proportional to the added rotation angular velocity. Variation in directional angles can thus be detected based on the output voltage of the electrodes 14, 15.</p> |
