PURPOSE:To obtain the small grain size toner which exhibits good toner adhesive force and development transfer cleanability by externally adding inorg. or org. spherical particles to the surface of toner particles consisting of coloring agents and a binder resin, thereby forming the toner. CONSTITUTION:This toner is formed by externally adding the inorg. or org. spherical particles having 20 to 80nm grain sizes to the toner particles consisting of the coloring agents and the binder resin and having <=9mum average grain size in such a manner as to attain <=10% surface coating rate. The inorg. or org. spherical particles function as spacer agents and the contact area of the toner and a carrier or the toner and the photosensitive body is decreased and the nonelectrostatic adhesive force is decreased by this addition. The spherical particles are embedded into the toner particles and the function as the spacer agents is not sufficiently exhibited if the particle size is smaller than 20nm. The contact area with the toner particle body is made into the same order and the effect of decreasing the contact area by the spherical particles is not sufficiently obtd. if the size is larger than 80nm. |
