PURPOSE:To provide an image fixing method and an electrophotographic copying device in which the wrinkle and the warpage of a supporting body such as an envelope and a cardboard are prevented from occurring at the time of fixing and an image with high glossiness is obtained. CONSTITUTION:In the image fixing method for electrophotography in which fixing is performed by allowing a heating part to contact and press-bond to a surface where toner 3 adheres on the supporting body 9, the toner whose loss tangent value at the heating temperature of the toner 3 is in the range of 5-50 is used and fixing is performed when the contact pressure between the heating part and the surface where the toner 3 adheres is 0.3-1kg/cm<2>. When the fixing pressure is <=1kg/cm<2>, the image with high glossiness is obtained and offset is not caused. Since the fixing pressure is small, such as <=1kg/cm<2>, the wrinkle and the warpage of the toner supporting body is prevented. |
