PURPOSE:To provide a shaft sealing device for an elevator winding machine preventing lubricating oil, leaking from the seal face of an oil seal, from adhering to a brake plate via an input shaft. CONSTITUTION:Between an oil seal 41 for preventing the leak of lubricating oil filled in a speed reducer 5, and an unillustrated brake plate fixed to an input shaft 6 for transmitting the driving force of a motor to the speed reducer 5, a protruding part 43 with its peripheral surface inclined being diameter- enlarged onto the oil seal 41 side is provided annularly on the peripheral surface of the input shaft 6, and a cover member 44 is disposed with a specified gap outside this protruding part 43. This cover member 44 is provided with an exhaust hole 44a and an oil receiving part 44b for receiving lubricating oil leaking from the oil seal 41. |
