PURPOSE:To smoothly pass a wire body such as an optical fiber through, for example, an ancillary pipe for the optical fiber of an electric power cable, an independent pipe, etc. CONSTITUTION:While a wire passing pipe 14 is connected to the sending-out side of a wire passing head 11 which has a wire passing path 12 where the wire body L is passed inside and is provided with an air supply path 13 joining the wire passing path 12, pinch rollers 16 and 16 which are driven by a driving source 17 to rotate are installed on the entrance side of the wire passing head 11; while the pinch rollers 16 and 16 are driven to rotate, compressed air is supplied to the air supply path 13 from outside to send the wire body L out to the wire passing pipe 14. In this wire body passing method, the load on the pinch rollers 16 and 16 is detected and the driving force to the pinch rollers 16 and 16 is controlled according to the detection data. |
